This song is pure magic. If there has to be an artist that represents the soul and raising the vibe higher, it has to be Jill Scott right here! Whoo! Jill sings it loud and proud. Knowing of her since I was a teenager and listening to her songs now 20 years into her career, I have to say, her magnificent voice still gets me singing out loud and makes me feel like running free with my hands waving high! That’s how powerful her soul shines through.

You can’t get music like this anymore. It’s rare. Totally rare. This song and Scott’s overall music catalog is indefinite and timeless. The passion in her voice, her joy and stamina, and the music along with her spoken words is just pure energetic food for the soul. Whenever she performs on stage,  Jill Scott is just so full of energy. You know she’s loving and living her life in harmony with her truth.  She is just flying high in her glorious goddess energy. 

Jill Scott sings so brilliantly as always, and the orchestra though rather loud and overtaking her voice in this version, shine the song and its meaning so beautifully. Hopefully, it can reach the whole audience in the video as much as it did to the individual at 1:55.

No song I feel represents the freedom of expression and happiness that people have granted today more than this one does.
